A. It depends really what you want. Logically, the best placed to start would be a sector where you have some background. If your in IT, try pharmaceuticals, try pharmaceutical recruitment first, you'll understand it better. Once you've done some recruitment it's easier to move around different sectors, for example, if you're looking for one with more money in it!
Q. What hours will I work as a recruitment consultant?
A. It's such a consuming and demanding role I can't imagine doing it part time, although some do. To do well, you'll have to put the hours in, early starts and late finishes are common in order to catch candidates before and after work. If you want a quiet number, recruitment isn't for you.
