New nusre advisor jobs to look after maggots

A 100 year+ old treatment using maggots to treat wounds and ulcers is making a string comeback and creating nurse advisor jobs in the process.

Historically maggots were a successful treatment of ulcers and flesh wounds as they were know to eat dead and infected skin but not healthy skin.  It's easy to imagine why over the years patients have favoured dressings which now dominate treatments in this area, but it appears the little chaos are coming back.  After all these years it seems that the original therapy is more effective, often cleaning up wounds in days that have taken weeks to heal with dressings.

ZooBiotic are now world leaders in treatment with maggots and have created nurse advisor jobs to deliver the treatment to patients in their homes.  The company is producing 600, 000 maggots per month for their 4000 present clients.  The thought may make your skin crawl, but these are the mud cover little fellas you put on the end of a fishing rod, these are clinically produced and delivered to the wound site in sealed unit from which they can't escape.  To top it all, they are more environmentally friendly than a dressing which would have to disposed of somewhere!
