New research shows international recruitment agencies enjoy high demand

New research by Antal International has shown that despite the economic gloom in the UK, recruitment agencies around the world are experiencing high demand.

The research looked specifically at managerial roles and sought to ask whether companies intended to hire in the next 3 months or reduce their staff numbers.  Antal spoke with 1500 companies from 14 companies.  The results were pretty much good news for recruitment agencies everywhere except the UK.

Of the many countries surveyed, many had average of over 80% expecting to hire rather than the reverse, suggesting that the trends of international recruitment were defying the global credit crunch that we are seeing so much in the UK.  In comparison, in the UK only 31% of those surveyed said they planned to hire staff, something which reflects news from many large recruitment agencies who have recently be laying off hundreds of staff.

The most impressive figures were china with over 90% of employers surveyed expecting to hire staff in the next 3 months.
