Welsh recruitment agency enjoy strong growth
This year, if you are a recruitment agency in the UK you may been reassessing your market in relation to your size and structure, but up sizing?
That's exactly what's happening at Welsh recruitment agency Intapeople. They are having one of their best years seeing a 19% growth in their business this year. At present they have 27 recruitment consultants and will increase this to 40 over the coming months, so what is generating this success.
Managing director Phil Handley says it's the generalist agencies who appear to be cutting vast numbers of staff. He explains that even in a tough market such as this one, the demand of highly skilled workers is still very high, with job demands only decreasing for lower skilled jobs. In their case they have reported a 60% increase in demand for engineers, hence their expansion plans.
He goes on to say that he believes the growth in the next 12 months will be the environmental sector with many companies focusing on green issues.
